Good morning, Bessemer City Middle School Students and Parents, 

            First, let me say I hope each of you are safe and healthy. I know these are difficult times, but the faculty and staff are working diligently to educate each student. By now, your student should have received some form of communication from the school and each teacher. If you have not received phone calls through school cast, please email me, and I will ensure the correct information is uploaded into INOW.

            Teachers have been communicating with students and parents. Some teachers have hosted zoom meetings. Teachers are using Acellus and Google Classroom. Teachers have various forms of communicating with students and parents. Some of these forms of communication are ClassDojo, Remind and Google Hangout. Please remember this is new territory for all of us, but we are all working diligently. We are not in our school building, but we are working from home.

            Check your teacher’s webpages for assignments and reminders. If you have a concern or an issue, contact the teacher first. After you have contacted the teacher, please feel free to contact an administrator. Teachers will check in with their classes numerous times during the day. BCMS teachers have virtual office hours from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or by appointment. Some teachers have scheduled weekly zoom meetings for their classes. Administrators have virtual office hours from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or by appointment.
