In this class we will study Ancient World History and its effects on life today.

 

Objective: 

 

The overall objective of this class is to help each student develop, to the limit of his or her ability, into an independent thinker and a responsible citizen of a democratic society.

Required Text:

 

Ancient World History : Patterns of Interaction

 

Evaluations:

 

This year in World History we will have bi-weekly test, notebook checks, four major projects, pop quizzes, and also current event articles.  Extra points will be given for various reason throughout the year.

 

Other materials needed:

 

In order to complete assignments and projects correctly other materials will be needed throughout the year such as crayons or color pencils, glue, construction paper, display boards, and any other additional materials that will be stated in due time during the year.

 

Make up work:

 

The students is responsible to turn in his/her make up work one week after absence.

 

Standards for grading:

 

                Test                        100 points    

                Notebook              100 points    

                Check

                Projects                100 points       

                Homework           20-50 points    

                Pop Quizzes          50 points
