A. COURSE DESCRIPTION
In eighth grade, students are provided with a broad range of opportunities to participate in a variety of physical activities. These experiences provide students with a positive outlet for competition with peers and a means of gaining the respect and recognition of others. Physical activities provide students with confidence as they take steps toward independence and a healthy lifestyle.
B. METHOD OF INSTRUCTION
Students are graded on participation and effort. Students who participate and show effort will receive all 100 points for that day's activity. While it is important that students master certain skills, I think it is more important that students are allowed an opportunity to try and do their best.
Students will be required to dress out during certain activities; they will be given notice in advance. It is recommended that students keep shorts, t-shirt, and athletic shoes in their locker or book bag.
