Ms. Pugh`s Civics/Geography Class Procedures  

7th Grade - White Cubs

Class Procedures

  • Pledge Of Allegiance, School Mission Statement And Student Creed will be recited daily.
  • Respect Affirmation will be recited throughout the school year to build student character and morale.
  • Technology will be integrated daily in order to contribute to academic success for all students.
  • Composition notebooks are due every 10 assignments.
  • Students will be assessed bi-weekly in order to test mastery of concepts taught within the confines of the classroom.
  • Quick writes, exit slips and project wisdom activities will be completed weekly.
  • Projects will be assigned every grading period to enhance student learning and expand learning outside the realms of the classroom.
  • Students will complete at least two articles monthly using the format provided. Also, they will be expected to code the text.
  • Students will be responsible for writing down Ms. Pugh’s Word Of The Day (everyday) on their log. All students will be expected to record the Quote Of The Week on their log (weekly).
  • Students will say and discuss the BCMS Word Of The Day, its meaning and use the word in a sentence orally.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

8th Grade -Purple Tiger Team

  • Respect Affirmation, School Mission Statement and Student Creed will be recited throughout the week. 
  • Current event summaries are due on Mondays.
  • Students will occasionally work with laptops in classroom to incorporate technology.
  • Notebook checks are due every 10 assignments.
  • Music history will take place on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month (this may change if conflict arises).
  • Students will be tested bi-weekly on information learned within the classroom.
  • Quick Writes or Exit Slips will be completed weekly.
  • A project will be assigned each grading period.
